I am a Vedic Scholar, Leadership Coach, and qualified Vedic Astrologer. I integrate the rules of Vedic Astrology, Yoga, and the science of Ayurveda to help my clients achieve more peace, purpose, and health in their lives. Ayurveda provides proper diet, Yoga, exercise, and meditative practices, and your Vedic Astrology chart is a map of your Karma. Optimal living is achieved by treating the physical, astral, and causal bodies of which we are composed. This is the value of applying Ayurveda, Vedic Astrology, and Yoga together. I live in Portland, OR, which has been my home for 40 years. I graduated from Portland State University with a BS in Political Science, and studied Health Behavior and Communication at a Graduate Level. I have been fortunate enough to have had a corporate career as a national-level Seminar Leader, Management Consultant, and Market Research Manager, which taught me about the nuances of human nature in an environment with competing agendas. I was disillusioned with the Corporate experience as it always made me anxious and paranoid. I found that this is a common experience in corporate environments, regardless of job title.
This realization lead me on a 15 year journey to find a more fulfilling life. This lead me to the mystery of Vedic Science, Yoga, and Astrology.
My family originated from Kerala, India, known for Ayurveda and Astrology and settled in America. I grew up in a strict Catholic home and my parents instilled good values in me. My father used to tell me stories of the Mahabharata, Confucius, The Buddha, and Shiva. Even though he is a devout Catholic he was also an educated man and had a encyclopedic knowledge of Religion and encouraged me to study.
As early as the age of 10, I had already become adept in Bible studies and was a big fan of Jesus, but not organized religion. I did not think priests could be a conduit between me and the divine. I was attracted to the mystery of the evolution of the soul through self-realization and the concept of Karma. I read all the great classics.
Some of the teachers and schools of thought I was attracted to included: Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's school of Transcendental Meditation, Swami Vivekananda, Swami Sivananda of Rishikesh, Ramana Maharshi, and Swami Satchidananda Saraswati, founder of Integral Yoga. I discovered that all of them cited one source, Adi Shankara. It was he who brought back Sanatana Dharma, or the "eternal way." Yoga had fallen into ritual and was controlled by corrupt Brahmin Priests. Adi Shankara brought back the Ancient teachings of the Rishis of old, showing the path of liberation from suffering primarily through the reintroduction of the Upanishads or Forest Wisdom Texts, which emphasized meditation, surrender to the divine, and self-study. All Yogis and Swamis in India acknowledge his authority. I traveled to his birthplace in India and meditated at his Ashram in Kerala. It is there that I got the urge to pursue a spiritual path and devote my time to developing my consciousness and following a Yogic path. The main point of the teaching is that we are Consciousness, all else is a non-binding modification of one cosmic energy.
I am certified in Ayurveda and Vedic Astrology through the American Institute of Vedic Studies.
I offer Insightful, comprehensive Vedic Astrology readings and Life Coaching that can help my clients be more conscious and live a more self-aware, purposeful life.
